Authorized Learning Organization (ALO) are educational institutions accredited and recognized by the Swiss Information and Management Institute (SIMI Swiss). To become SIMI Swiss ALOs, ALOs not only demonstrate their management capacity, integrity, and academic capacity, but also ensure that their organizational processes and quality management meet SIMI’s standards and also meet the requirements of independent accreditation bodies.
The ALOs are not authorized to evaluate the assignments, marking and recognize the results. SIMI Swiss incharges all the academic quality assurance and recognition the results.
Authorized Learning Organization (ALO) is a SIMI Swiss-recognized organization that engages in one or more of the following activities:
- Promotion and Recruiting
- Organize classes
- Learning support system
- Tutors
- Working on behalf of SIMI Swiss with local partners in approved countries and regions
- Working with students on behalf of SIMI Swiss
Based on accreditation with SIMI Swiss, ALOs are entitled to perform one or all of the following:
- Promotion and Recruiting
- Organize classes
- Learning support system
- Tutors
- Working on behalf of SIMI Swiss with local partners in approved countries and regions
- Working with students on behalf of SIMI Swiss
Obligations of ALO:
- Ensure the truthfulness of promotional information
- Ensure the truthful and complete disclosure of information about the program, training content, rights and obligations of ALO to students and parents
- Ensure to fulfil other commitments with SIMI Swiss.
SIMI Swiss provides the best support for ALO in order to protect both ALO’s and local SIMI students’ interests. The following services are available to help:
- In-depth training on the quality assurance process and system for ALO after SIMI Swiss has completed the ALO appraisal process.
- Provide accounts and instructions for utilizing SIMI Swiss management systems, including:
- University Management Systems
- Learning Management Systems
- Research Management Systems
- Work Management Systems (ERP – Modules for Partners)
- eTextbook of Switzerland
- Academic Support of Switzerland
- Provide promotional tools
- ALO is SIMI’s local representative to carry out the above works; however, they must not interfere with the program structure, the quality of training, or the quality management criteria of SIMI Swiss and independent accrediting organizations.
- ALO is not authorized to recognize graduation results.
- SIMI has a very stricly process to accept the ALO’s application but SIMI Swiss is not responsible for their license or liability of the local ALO if ALO is not legally enforceable.
